David and Gill Ruffle originally started Network Christians 21 years ago. Gill had been single until 42 years of age when she married David, a widower with 2 children.
Their own experience of singleness as Christian people gave them a particular insight into the difficulties that single Christians can face. Their first step was to set up an introduction service and they later began to run a variety of social events.
David and Gill retired at the end of 2004 and handed the reins over to Sue Ashman, a member of several years. Since Sue has taken over Network Christians has continued its good reputation for well organised social events and continues to go from strength to strength.
